The documents are arranged in carpetas, in the order given below, the material relating to the United States being in the first twelve carpetas. Letters of Josef Antonio de Caballero and José de Heredia, ministers of war, to Marqués de Someruelos as captain general of Louisiana and the Floridas. Subjects treated: 1803, defense of Louisiana. (b) Oficios-Reservado-Ministerio de la Guerra. 1800, Jan. 22-1811, Sept. 20. Drafts of Someruelos as captain general of Louisiana and the Floridas to the ministers of war, reservada nos. 1-22; no. 14 used three times.
